Our 2 year warranty only applies to gates, doors and frames sold with protection options and by following all directions in our "Making sure your product is protected" document which is available on our website and provided with your purchase. This warranty covers against swelling, moulding, and rotting over time.

The "Protection" option includes the application of oil-based undercoating: dark grey or brilliant white to the gate, doors and frame made of pine wood before shipping,

- application of oiling service - Osmo Oil 420 clear to the gate, doors and frame made of solid oak before shipping.

If a customer chooses "Unfinished - Natural" and does not treat the wooden gate, door and frame properly, they may experience issues such as wood rot, mould, swelling, and warping. Therefore, it is crucial that customers understand the importance of proper treatment and maintenance of their wooden gate or door if they choose this option. Doors And Worktops is not responsible for any damage caused by improper treatment or maintenance of the product by the customer when using any treatment not provided by us.

The 2-year workmanship guarantee on our wooden doors, frame and gates also covers the integrity of the joints. This means that if any issues occur with the joints, you can be confident that you are covered under the guarantee. However, it is important to note that this guarantee does not cover the paint or treatment finish on the wooden gates, even if Doors And Worktops applied the basecoat, once the product has left our workshop.

ANY ALTERATION DENOTES ACCEPTANCE

Additionally, it's important to understand that any alteration made to the product, including but not limited to cutting, fitting, or treatment, denotes acceptance of the product and its condition. This means that by making any changes to the product, the customer is accepting the product as it is, and any faults or defects found after the alteration will not be covered under warranty or eligible for replacement or refund. It is essential to thoroughly inspect the product before making any changes to ensure that it meets your expectations and standards.

Order bespoke doors, frame and gates:

Each product can be made to any size from softwood to hardwood.

REPORTING A PROBLEM

It is important to note that arranging tradesmen before receiving and fully inspecting the goods can lead to wasted labour charges if there are any issues with the delivery or the product is damaged. To avoid this, it is best to wait until the goods have been received and thoroughly inspected before arranging any tradesmen. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that some faults or issues may not be immediately noticeable and may only be detected during installation. Therefore, it is important to make provision for this possibility and understand that in such cases, we will not be able to compensate for any wasted labour costs.
